Cozy stay with helpful staff

We had a nice two-night stay here. The room was decently spacious and clean, but honestly, the bed could be comfier. Great breakfast too! Staff was super friendly, but the AC unit could really use some cleaning. Overall, had a relaxing time and loved the shuttle service to nearby spots.

Family looking for comfort

The pool was open until 11 pm and the lighting. And they even managed a good breakfast with fresh items. Yes, the pancake machine was a hit!

Had an awesome time with friends! We hiked the Appalachian Trail and then hit the Hollywood Casino for some slots, thanks to the convenient shuttle service. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious and had so many options, you won't leave hungry!

One downside was the shower curtain not covering properly, causing some water to spill onto the floor.

Overall, a solid stay with friendly service and decent amenities.

This hotel suits me perfectly with great wi-fi, a seasonal outdoor pool, and friendly staff. They even helped me with currency exchange during my first stay. I’m always coming back for my trips!

We enjoyed our stay here as a family, especially the outdoor heated pool which was a wonderful surprise. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome. Don't miss out on the delicious continental breakfast. it has a wide variety the whole family will love!

The pool area offers comfortable seating and stays open late, which is rare and perfect for unwinding after a long day. The breakfast setup includes fresh cinnamon buns, and the pancake machine is a nice touch for late risers.

The fire alarm went off during the night, which interrupted sleep and required evacuating the kids outside for over an hour. The sheets in our room had noticeable stains, which made things feel less fresh despite the overall cleanliness. Also, the beds were unusually firm for my family's comfort and there weren’t enough pillows for everyone.

The location was perfect for all the activities we had planned. The staff was very helpful, especially when we needed assistance with directions. The Holiday Inn Express Charles Town, An Ihg Hotel, was delightfully clean with well-lit hallways and an inviting outdoor pool. I appreciated that the staff were always attentive, especially when I needed assistance with my luggage.

More seating options in common areas would be nice.

The breakfast spread featured an impressive variety, with standout cinnamon rolls and a fun pancake conveyor belt. However, the bed was too hard, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the broken elevator added some inconvenience, and the noise from the pool area was disruptive late into the night. Despite these issues, the staff were courteous and helpful.

Would recommend for a short break

Clean room, great breakfast, and a convenient location made our stay enjoyable, particularly with the nearby shops and the outdoor pool open on a warm May day.
